We donated dresses for a fabulous Pan Mass Challenge Fashion Show Fundraiser. Tony C from Philip Ciampa Salon in Andover and Lexington, MA is riding the two day Pan Mass Challenge, the nation’s original fundraising bike-a-thon that raises more money than any other athletic fundraising event in the country. All proceeds from the Fashion Show will benefit The Dana Faber Cancer Clinic & Jimmy Fund. All the beautiful models in the show are cancer survivors.  We are so proud of Tony and his efforts in raising money for this wonderful cause.

Our dearest friend Stephanie Z ran her first Boston Marathon last Monday. She is one of our favorite frequent daters, an unbelievable nurse and a truly beautiful person inside and out. Stephanie’s smile was shining as well as her First Date bling earrings while running the entire 26 miles You can read her amazing journey on her fundraising page here. We just received a new updated color combination for one of our favorite dresses. This past winter, we offered this dress with a black bottom/silver top and now it’s been updated for spring.  It’s perfect for your upcoming summer events like a semi-formals, fancy dinners, charity events, engagement parties…the list goes on! The top of the dress is a white silk halter and silk rosette at the neck and the bottom is made out of hot pink taffeta and features pockets.  Get it in-store ’til April 15th or online.

It’s off we go into the wild blue yonder, with color authority Pantone naming turquoise the color of the year. “It gives off such positive energy and brings excitement to basic colors like white, tan, gray, or black,” says Keri Barrett, co-owner of the cheery First Date Boutique in Andover. Teal is a bit darker, so it is great for the cooler months, with brighter azure tones perfect for summer, Barrett adds. “And if you’re feeling down, just put on a turquoise necklace or earrings.” As seen here around town, the trend is not coming out of the blue.
